The numbers are grim and from what I’ve read, only going to get worse as Generation X or Y or whatever we are… those of us in our late 20’s and early, mid, late 30’s… get up there in age with our folks.

But for now, here’s what we’re looking at according to a report titled, 2007 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures

• Some 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease.
• That figure is set to hit 7.7 million by 2030 as the baby boomers, now in their 60’s get up there in ag.
• And by 2050, those digits soar to 16 million people living with Alzheimer’s disease.

Just think eight million people currently inhabit New York City.
